Designing experiences at scale.

Angela Mueller is a cultural producer and creative force behind some of Vail’s most enduring and elevated experiences. With more than 28 years producing large-scale culinary, wine, art, and lifestyle events, she has built platforms that blend sophistication, storytelling, and community impact.

As Executive Director of Taste of Vail, she has led the evolution of one of the country’s premier mountain food and wine festivals, expanding partnerships, refining brand identity, and elevating the guest experience across 25+ annual activations.

Through Ren Event Productions, Angela develops immersive environments where fashion, art, culinary craft, and design intersect , including the launch of Artisan Rhapsody, a juried cultural showcase redefining alpine luxury.

Her work bridges luxury brands, international designers, chefs, winemakers, and collectors, creating experiences that are commercially viable, visually striking, and culturally resonant.

Angela’s signature strength lies in transforming ideas into scalable, revenue-generating platforms that shape destination identity while pushing creative boundaries.

Overview Case Study

As Executive Director of Taste of Vail, I’ve led the evolution of a 35-year culinary festival into a destination-driven experience that brings travelers into authentic connection with place.

Rather than positioning the event as a standalone gathering, the strategy has been to integrate it into the broader travel ecosystem of Vail , aligning with hospitality partners, local culture, landscape, and seasonality.

The Travel Insight

Luxury travelers today seek:

  • Immersion over attendance

  • Local integration over spectacle

  • Trust-based recommendations

  • Meaningful community moments

The opportunity was to reposition the festival as an anchor experience within a broader travel narrative, not just an event ticket.

Experience Design Through a Travel Lens

Sense of Place

  • Mountaintop tastings that highlight Vail’s alpine landscape

  • Street-level après events woven into the pedestrian village

  • Programming that reflects regional culinary and wine storytelling

Hospitality Integration

  • Coordinated partnerships with hotels and lodging providers

  • Curated travel packages tied to event experiences

  • Emphasis on extended stays rather than single-day attendance

Community Ecosystem

  • Collaboration with local chefs, artisans, and businesses

  • Designed moments that encourage connection rather than passive consumption

  • Elevated experiences that feel intimate despite scale

Operational Stewardship

The focus has been sustainable growth , ensuring the event strengthens the destination rather than strains it.

This includes:

  • Thoughtful capacity management

  • Community coordination

  • Responsible budgeting and governance

  • Long-term brand protection

Why This Matters for Travel Companies

This work demonstrates my ability to:

  • Design experiences that deepen destination engagement

  • Build trust between guests, local partners, and brand

  • Balance growth with integrity

  • Translate place into programming

Travel, at its best, creates belonging.
My work centers on building platforms that foster that belonging at scale.

Artisan Rhapsody

Artisan Rhapsody

Artisan Rhapsody is a refined alpine celebration of art, fashion, culinary craft, and design set in Vail, Colorado. This juried, multi-day experience brings together international designers, fine artists, collectors, and luxury travelers for immersive showcases, elevated runway presentations, curated wine pairings, and intimate VIP salons. Blending cultural sophistication with mountain elegance, Artisan Rhapsody is expanding nationally, creating a distinctive platform for luxury brand storytelling and high-net-worth engagement.

Instinctive curator.

I build experiences that feel as good as they look, where food, wine, art, and people come together with intention. I trust my gut, lead with warmth, and believe the most powerful moments happen around a shared table. My goal is to create immersive, community-driven experiences rooted in place and feeling, from the European magic of Vail Kris Kringle Market, to the intimate storytelling of Vail Farm to Table, to the bold, entrepreneurial energy of Fork in the Road. Each venture reflects my instinct to gather people beautifully, celebrate craft, and design moments that feel intentional, elevated, and deeply connected.
